UKCF and Evouchers partner to transform support for young care leavers

UK Community Foundation (UKCF) is now a national network of over forty community foundations, bringing together people and organisations that want to improve their communities.

The Care Leavers’ Programme was officially launched in April 2024 to provide tailored support to care-experienced young adults. The UKCF needed to find an innovative resource that would help their programme reach care leavers in a quick and easy way.

The solution

The partnership between UKCF and Evouchers marks a pivotal step in addressing the needs of young care leavers in the UK. This multi-year collaboration focuses on delivering practical support to young adults transitioning out of the care system through the Care Leavers’ Programme.

Evouchers will support UKCF members by providing a digital payment platform that will enable the foundations to quickly and securely distribute funds to support care leavers with vouchers for food, clothing, home essentials and education supplies. Empowering care leavers to achieve independence and access opportunities.

The future

This partnership between UKCF and Evouchers represents a model for sustainable, collaborative support. Its forward-looking vision includes expanding its reach, increasing the number of participating community foundations and broadening its impact.

By addressing both immediate and long-term challenges, the UKCF and Evouchers partnership sets a precedent for improving outcomes for care leavers while fostering collaboration between private, public, and charitable sectors.
