Lincolnshire Community Foundation
Established in 2002, the Lincolnshire Community Foundation is Greater Lincolnshire’s only independent grant-making organisation. With a mission to improve the lives and wellbeing of local people, the Community Foundation has awarded more than £24 million in grants to community groups and individuals across the region. The Community Foundation plays a vital role in distributing the Household Support Fund (HSF) on behalf of the following local authority districts: Boston Borough, East Lindsey, South Holland, South Kesteven, and West Lindsey.
Streamlining Essential Support Delivery with Evouchers
The challenge
Prior to partnering with Evouchers, the Community Foundation used another provider to distribute supermarket vouchers to individuals in financial hardship. However, this previous solution lacked key capabilities:
- No ability to purchase vouchers in bulk – creating inefficiencies, risk of error and consuming team resources for the processing of high volumes of applications.
- Limited tracking functionality – making it impossible to ensure that support was successfully delivered to those it was intended for.
- Manual processes – resulting in considerable time spent on repetitive administrative tasks.
- Lack of transparency and reporting tools – which limited the Community Foundation’s ability to monitor fund distribution and measure impact.
As the volume of applications for support increased significantly during each round of the Household Support Fund, these limitations became increasingly problematic for The Foundation.
The solution
The Lincolnshire Community Foundation adopted the Evouchers platform to manage the distribution of supermarket vouchers to eligible households. The Foundation was set up and running on the platform ready for the launch of the seventh round of the Household Support Fund in July 2025.
This new partnership with Evouchers has enabled the Foundation to:
- Process over 3,150 applications using Evouchers.
- Distribute more than £403,000 worth of funding, of which 98.95% was successfully redeemed.
- Provide targeted support to households experiencing financial hardship.
- Save time and resource from the ability to purchase vouchers in bulk
- Gain real-time visibility and tracking of voucher delivery and redemption.
- Streamline internal operations and reduce time spent on administrative tasks.
The Community Foundation expects to have distributed almost £500,000 through this phase of the Household Support Fund by the end of December, with applications still being processed.
One team member shared:
“Some of our new residents currently have no access to any benefits, so being able to go to a supermarket and choose their own food has provided a real boost to their mental health and motivation.”

The Impact
Switching to Evouchers has enabled the Community Foundation to deliver support more efficiently and with greater confidence that help is reaching those who need it most. The platform’s advanced tracking and reporting features have enhanced transparency and accountability, an essential feature for any organisation responsible for managing public or charitable funds.
Hear the real-life impact for residents:
- “This has helped us more than you could imagine. This voucher gave me the ability to fill up my freezer, to help feed my children over the holidays and to free up some of my income to put towards the huge expense of uniforms. I am really, truly grateful for that support.”
- “I am a full-time carer for my elderly mother and as such only receive carer’s allowance. When a trust or organisation like yours comes along, I feel you and your team deserve both respect and a heartfelt thank-you for all that you do for everyone.”
- “I wanted to reply just to say thank you to you and the Lincolnshire community foundation for the voucher, which is not only appreciated but also a huge relief in these present times.”
Looking Ahead
The features and functionality of Evouchers has transformed how the team manage the Household Support Fund and The Foundation is looking forward to continuing its partnership with Evouchers to ensure the fast and reliable delivery of support to Lincolnshire residents in need.
“The Foundation’s experience with both the Evouchers system and team has been flawless.”
